PINHOLE IMAGES

I have finally gotten to shoot with my pinhole camera and I have to say I am as excited as the first time I shot with the Holga. The developing is a bit faster and the scanning is not as much of a pain. The first images was done with a 17 min exposure, the second one with 15 mins, and the last one was about 12 mins. I think my favorites are the last two. Feedback?

  1. The contrast is better in the second one, but I like the depth of field you get in the third image. If you can bump up the contrast in the first image, I think it would be more successful. Overall, great job!

  2. As much as I like higher contrast images, I LOVE the first one! This is one of my favorite things about the pinhole camera - all the little imperfections you get during the exposure process, as well as the development process. I feel for this image in particular, the subject matter lends itself well for a low contrast image.

I like the sun glares on the second image, and I would like to see how the 3rd looks when you increase the contrast.

Overall, good job on all three! (:

  3. Wow, It's really cool the effect but I'm really surprised by the amount of time needed to take the pictures.
I like the 2nd and the 3rd. The second have this light on the top right that it's really nice and the way that the deep of field it's applied in the last one its really cool too.

  4. I agree with the favorable notes on the second, the fifteen minutes is giving you the best range, too long and it gets overly 'muddy' Not that this style couldn't be used in some way too, it would depend on the project of course!

And as Cristhian says, the imperfections simply add to the quality.
