HAPPY ACCIDENTS?
While doing my BEAUTY series my model brought her daughter along. While Salome, my model, was changing clothes her daughter, Rebecca, got in front of the camera and started to dance to the music in the background. I found it spontaneous and fun. I took advantage of the situation and simply started to photograph her moves and her long blond hair simply flowed. I was happy that Rebecca was able to simply let loose and allowed me to capture her in such a bright light. Let me know what you think?
OH! and I added a little watermark there :) Any pointers on that????

INSPIRATION
I realized I needed to start looking for some inspiration within the fashion world for my beauty project. I have come the conclusion that I need a lot more practice within the studio and my lighting techniques. I have always been really interesting in the fashion world and one of the main photographers that have caught my attention is Patrick Demarchelier. His ability to capture beauty is fascinating to me. His lighting technique is very similar to Richard Avedon. There is a richness to his images and he is not afraid to take risks within his medium. I think the most important thing is that he is not afraid of beauty itself and allows himself to get submerged within his concept and always pushes it forward.
Here is his website. Please take a look at it. I am sure you will enjoy it! Patrick Demarchelier
As well here are some examples of his work.

PROCESS, PROGRESS?
Here is just a little progress I had last week. Just trying out a few things. Let me know what you think or any pointers.
This is about the "beauty" project. I am trying to focus on older women and what they see as beautiful. In this case I focused on what the subject felt most self-concious about and try to portray it as something beautiful. I tried different angles and the way the lighting hit the face. I tried getting up close and farther away. So what do you guys think?
Enjoy!
